"The internet has opened up opportunities for people that otherwise would not be available. However, it is all too often that this resource is limited to only those who can afford it. The immense wealth of knowledge and opportunities on the web should be available to everyone. I started this program with the hopes that a few refurbished laptops could make the difference in the lives of local families. Maybe someone needs a computer to be able to get a promotion at work or a local child may need a working computer to be able to participate in online homework assignments. These local families should not be denied the opportunites that others have based on their inability to afford a computer.
